- Due to imminent heavy rainstorms in BC, some major highways from the Greater Vancouver area to the rest of the province have once again been closed as a preventative measure and surveys of recent repairs.
- The current expectation is this will be a short closure and they will re-open later in the week of Jan 10.
- The closures may create a short backlog of goods resulting in small shipping delays as companies work to clear their facilities.
- Here are the current delivery estimates for Canadian shipments:
- BC 2-5 days
- Alberta 3-5 days
- Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Northern Ontario 4-6 days
- Ontario 5-7 days
- Quebec 5-7 days
- Maritimes 6-9 days
- NFLD & Labrador 7-14 days
- Northern Territories 4-14 days
- ALL ESTIMATES ARE FOR MAJOR CENTRES. RURAL AND SEMI-RURAL DELIVERIES MAY TAKE LONGER.
