PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The Carbon E-Skate Glove from flatland3d and Knox is the world’s most advanced full finger glove designed specifically for electric skateboarding. The Carbon features Knox’s Scaphoid Protection System (SPS) with Micro-Lock impact foam, and a Uni-directional Flexible Wrist Plate. The Fingerless Pro E-Skate Glove offers the most advanced protection from a glove, without sacrificing safe and comfortable use of your e-skate remote.

WHAT IS KNOX SPS?

Knox patented Scaphoid Protection System (SPS) works to protect your palm and wrist by adding two sliders to the palm of the glove. One of the sliders sits over the general area of the scaphoid, and the second slider acts as a bridge, stopping the grab and twist effect. This system protects the hand from compression fractures and hyper-extension, caused when a typical glove grips the road surface and forward momentum carries the rider’s body over the hand. The SPS sliders now have Knox Micro-Lock impact protection built in, providing the same abrasion resistance as the original, but with additional impact protection.

FEATURES:

    • Knox Patented SPS (Scaphoid Protection System) with Micro-Lock Impact Protection
    • Removable Uni-directional Flexible Wrist Plate. Flexible in the forward direction for maximum comfort, rigid in the other direction to prevent hyperextension
    • Clarino synthetic leather with Hex Grip overlay on the palm and contact points for remote grip and dexterity
    • Knox Lift & Lock wrist closure for an easy and secure fit
    • Wrap around, seamless finger ends in Amara Touch-Screen material
    • Abrasion resistant hex knuckle guards
    • Double reinforced carbon fiber thread stitching at critical seams
    • Reflective overlay on fingertips, reflective logo on small finger, and reflective piping on back of hand for added visibility
    • Heavy duty webbing loop with accent stitching at wrist makes it easy to pull the glove on, and doubles as a sturdy loop for hanging from a carabiner or hook

Very comfortable, makes me more confident in learning the Wheel. Flexible insert in the back of the glove - so the wrist doesn't snap backwards during a fall, but still flexible forwards as normal.

Buy something else.

I am not a fan of these gloves for several reasons.

1. They are expensive vs what you're getting as well as the quality of materials.
2. The wrist protector is not secured into the glove at all. It falls out simply from holding the gloves by the finger. It falls out very easily. It falls out almost every time I throw the gloves in my car. It slowly slides out of place while wearing the gloves as well and I need to push it back in.
3. The locking strap is very low quality. Not only the brass metal ring, but the fabric holding that brass ring in place as well.
The fabric loop holding the rings in place has already torn a bit and I've only had them for a month with no falls. Simply from taking them on and off. Once that breaks, great, now I can't even tighten the glove around my wrist. The metal ring that goes through this fabric loop has also bent. The ring also slides out of place while tightening the strap, impeding the locking strap's ability to move / tighten.
4. These gloves are supposed to be touchscreen friendly according to the description. They definitely are not. The only way I can get it to work with my phone is by touching near the very edge of my thumb and on the sides/edges of my finger. It's frustrating using a phone with these to put it lightly. The touchscreen friendly fabric should be on the pads of your fingers, not the edges.

The actual gloves themselves and the plastic sliders on the palms do seem quite good and that they would hold up in a fall which is why I'm giving a 3 and not like, a 1, but the actual 'protector' on the back of the hand doesn't even restrict the movement of my wrist at all. I did try on multiple sizes before choosing, too. None of them restricted the backwards movement of my wrist much but I just kinda trusted that they should do what they say they will. So how much of this "scaphoid protection system" is a buzzwords vs practical protection is likely debatable.

I do not recommend these gloves to anyone and will probably seek a refund through the manufacturer.

Great patience.

I was afraid to take my euc home. The customer service helped me every step of the way: from info, to support, to helping me carry it on a uber home.

Love this for colder rides

Been wearing the fingerless version since last year. They have held up great. When I saw this version I had to grab them. Much easier than pulling gloves over wrist guards or vise versa. comfortable and well protected!

So glad there is now a fingered version of the Flatland3D for winter use. I feel well protected.
