GTV Power Kit:
PLEASE NOTE THE GTV POWER KIT CAN ONLY BE SHIPPED TO ADDRESSES LOCATED IN CANADA
- The GTV Power Kit is a plug and play upgrade for your Onewheel GT.
- It increases your GT power output from 2800W to 4200W, more than the 3800W on a stock GT-S.
- If you upgrade your GT with The Float Life MTE N52 HUB, it will further boost the output to 5200W.
- Gives your GT the same torque as the GT-S.
- Provides 24% more range than the GT-S.
- Includes a replacement ESC, BMS, front and rear light and status light bar.
- Includes all tools needed except for pliers to remove the motor connector.
- The software is already tuned and IMU calibrated. There is no need to configure anything, just plug and play. Tuning done by the VESC whisperer Nico.
- Enables all kinds of aftermarket rails because the pitch angle offset is configurable.
- Doesn't require the ESC pair to BMS, it is 100% right to repair.
- Can be easily installed in 10 minutes.
- The charge only BMS comes with balancing function at the end of charge.
- 180 days hassle free warranty. We replace your ESC and BMS for free, shipping not included.
- Original light functions are kept the same.
- Top speed increased to 25mph with no push back achieved through field weakening technology.
- Configurable haptic buzz and pushback.
- Redesigned motor plug enables a snug fit to prevent burnt motor plug issues.
- Upgraded gradient tracking (ATR). (Credit to SURFDADO)
- Unlocks 3rd party charging. Recommended charging under 10A.
Q&A
Does it affect my battery range?
- The GTV enables you to ride much more aggressively, however, the change in range is barely noticeable.
- The GTV uses a more efficient power stage than stock (lower Rdson, less heat).
Does it affect my battery life?
- The GTV's power draw is within the limitations of the battery pack's performance.
- You should expect similar to slightly better range.
My GT doesn't power on, can I use the GTV kit?
- Yes, as long as your battery pack is healthy. You can test your battery with a multimeter. Battery must register more than 45V.
Can I use my original light bars?
- No, you must use the light bars included in the kit.
Can I use my GT's stock BMS?
- Yes. However, you will need to solder a thick wire to bypass the stock BMS. We recommend you use the GTV BMS provided.
My GT has a aftermarket battery pack, can I use the GTV?
- Yes. As long as your aftermarket battery pack works on the original BMS, it will work with the GTV.
Is the BMS smart? Can I monitor my cell level?
- No. It is a charge only BMS. It will balance and charge your battery safely and it also has an individual cell balancing indicator. If the light is blue, that means that group of cells is balancing itself.

Dyno research data
From Tony at Floatwheel:
Here are all the dyno results. In the chart, all boards were tested under the magbrake at 1.75w pushing the friction plate, the GT however would shut off mid test under 1.75w load(over current fault). I switched to 1.5w in order to get the stock GT to finish the dyno test. You can see the GTV Kit takes all the potential out of the hypercore motor. At the maximum output the magnet inside is saturated, meaning that no matter how you increase the input current, the motor will not give you more power, just heat.
In the GT-S motor, the higher grade magnet (N52curved) makes the saturation point 25.8% higher than the GT motor. This is close to the theory values between N42 and N52 magnets. However, it is still a small motor core. Its maximum potential is capped at 5352W. The ADV is still 27.4% more powerful than the GT-S motor due to the sheer size of the cannoncore motor. However, I do not recommend that you get a $850 GT-S motor. Instead, if you want that GT-S motor performance, you should get a TFL MTE Hub N52, or get a Billet N52. Those 5 inch hubs are 100x better than the 6.5 inch, the difference in handling is night and day. All in all, with the $899 GTV upgrade you don't need a GT-S at all - the GTV offers same experience.
